Review of Barnes and Noble
The Barnes and Noble stores are just as good as Borders Bookstore. However, there is no Barnes and Noble stores close enough to us.
We only go to one when we travel. So when Borders Bookstore opened in our area at our local mall we have been taking advantage of not having to waste to much gas and going to Borders instead of Barnes and Noble.
It’s great picking up a book, sitting down in one of their many chairs in the store and reading right there. You can even go to their little café, Starbucks Coffee, within the store with a book and read while drinking a latte, coffee, or mocha.
You can even purchase pastries to eat. However, we think Seattle's Best Coffee is much better than Starbucks Coffee. So we don’t purchase anything from the Barnes and Noble coffee shop.
We used to go to Barnes and Noble about once a year, but we just can’t afford to do that anymore. Gas is too expensive now. Until gas prices go down further than $2.59 for the middle grade we won’t be doing a lot of traveling anywhere anytime soon.
Barnes and Nobles associates are very helpful, however we think Borders associates are nicer than Barnes and Nobles associates. There is no clutter in the middle of the isles and they do a lot to keep the store very clean. We hope we will be able to go back soon.
